Need Counselling

Life isn't always fair, and sometimes it isn't fun. Normal events of life may result in times of anxiety or depression. At such times we often turn to family or close friends for support, understanding and a listening ear. Usually, these down times don't last long before we are able to continue our lives without much interruption. However, sometimes problems pile up, becoming overwhelming, and our normal ways of coping no longer work. Sometimes, we don't have anyone to turn to--or they don't understand.  When stress, anxiety or depression last too long, normal functioning may become impaired. Symptoms may include: trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, trouble concentrating, and having a sense of hopelessness. Arguments may escalate, alcohol or drug use may increase, and couples may talk of separation or divorce. Clearly, when problems become this serious and aren't being solved by normal means, professional counselling should be considered.
